Original U.S. M1917 cartridge belt. This cartridge belt is in decent condition with signs of usage; the canvas is strong and pliable; however, there are slight stains and darker spots. All lift-the-dot fasteners are present and have smooth operation with no fraying canvas around them, but some have slight corrosion present. The manufacturer stamp on the waist strap looks to read “P.B. & CO 1918,” and only one cartridge section reads “C.E.M. 1918.” The cartridge sections have heavy graffiti from previous owners; no research has been done on the graffiti, and it cannot be confirmed to be from soldiers it was issued to.
